Disney Plus is finally available with the 4K HDR support for PlayStation 5 app. The company announced this support in August. While the prior version of the Disney+ app for gaming consoles only supported up to 1080p, the new update lets users stream in 4K HDR. You may need to re-download the streaming platform to your console to access the 4K support.
Jerrel Jimerson from Disney says, “The key part of our global expansion strategy is to meet consumers wherever they are, which is why we’re excited to enhance both Disney+ and Star+ for PS5 users. The ability to support 4K HDR video streaming on the platform will also improve the viewing experience for fans.”
How to re-download Disney+ PS5 app?
If you have a PlayStation 5 and a subscription to Disney Plus, you can now check the 4K HDR support. You can now check by opening the Media tab of the PS5 homepage and re-download the native client.
